Friends Around the Table

Offering family carers, and adults living rurally, relaxed and enjoyable creative get-togethers exploring food, culture and nature.

Introduction

Suffolk Artlink is delighted to announce, Creative Boost, a new project for carers to be creative, make friends and enjoy life.

Creative Boost will offer 18 creative sessions across Suffolk, including sessions hosted by carers groups in Stowmarket, Haverhill and Felixstowe. We are also excited to be able to offer 6 imaginative, virtual sessions for carers.

All our sessions are led by professional participatory artists who are expert in offering enjoyable activities for people of all abilities where participants can achieve remarkable work in a short time.

Thanks to funding from Suffolk Community Foundation through the Suffolk Carers Fund these sessions are free to carers. Participants are welcome to attend as many or as few of the workshops as they are able.

For workshop details and booking information and for DIY activities for people to do at home, with family, and with their community groups click the Take Part button..

Creative Boost is part of our Friends Around the Table programme providing professionally led, participatory creative workshops in Suffolk’s communities.

What inspired this project?

Friends Around the Table uses practices, learning and resources from previous Suffolk Artlink projects to build broader and more sustainable communities.

‘The sessions I have attended, have been very educational, welcoming and comforting. I would not normally see or talk to anyone all day.’
