A Triumph of Trophies

Twirling handles and soaring spirits; it’s all in an afternoon’s work for the Extra Time teams.

The children visited Beech House, and Alice showed everyone how to make beautiful twirly handles for their trophies. Then it was just a case of adding personal embellishments and holding them in place until the glue set.

It was very much a team effort, with everyone working together to complete the trophies and the podiums.

'We thought that working with the children might lift the residents' spirits and when I asked Connie just now she agreed that it had lifted her spirits; she said it was all part of the learning.'
