Brave Art Exhibition
Suffolk Artlink’s Brave Art public exhibition is at the Geek Retreat Café in Ipswich, 29th July and 10th August.
Over the last 12 months, our incredible Brave Artists have been taking part in lots of varied and exciting creative workshops, with a focus on the world around us. The summer term explored animals, birds, insects and fish, with students creating both individual and collaborative pieces. Artists Matt Magnus, Shelly O’Brien, Caitlin Howells, Caroline George, Felicity Brown and Max Clark led 12 sessions in which students created pen, ink and acrylic paintings of animals, traditional Japanese art and nobori fish, textile birds, giant textile maps of the world, mixed media paintings of tropical birds, and much more. The exhibition is a vibrant and colourful celebration of the end of the year.
If you would like to visit the free exhibition, it will be running between 29th July and 10th August at the Geek Retreat in Ipswich, Upper Brook Street, IP4 1DU. The exhibition will be open between 10am – 10pm Monday to Saturday, and between 11am – 7pm on Sundays. Do come and see all the brilliant art created by our incredible Brave Artists, as the exhibition will serve as a testament to all of their hard work and endless imagination, and is truly worth your time.
