Front flips and kittens

Last week saw the first Special Delivery creative session at Roman Hill Primary School, with poet Dean Parkin impressing the children with a recital of his ‘list’ poem, ‘The Bubble Wrap’.

List upon list followed, from different ways to say hello, to favourite animals, sports, hobbies and subjects. All these were then distilled into personal postcards from the children to residents at Britten Court.

Over at Britten Court, the residents will be listening to a recording of Dean reciting the poem, reading the children’s postcards, and responding to their questions; we’ll be picking up the responses on Thursday, and sharing them back with the children.
