Southwold Art Circle donates £750 to Suffolk Artlink
Our thanks to Southwold Art Circle for their generous donation of £750.
Charlie Meyer, Brave Art Project Officer said:
“Southwold Art Circle has previously donated materials, but it was with delight and surprise that we learned from Vice President of the Society, Wilson Harvey, that Suffolk Artlink’s Brave Art programme is to benefit from a donation of £750 – the proceeds from this year’s Art on the Railings exhibition.
Brave Art is our ambitious, yearlong, creative arts course for learning disabled artists. This donation will enable Suffolk Artlink to employ a professional, participatory artist to work with our Brave Art students in spring 2023.”

Southwold Art Circle is a bit of a Suffolk treasure and is one of the largest and longest established art societies in East Anglia. The Society itself was established in 1960, but has roots stretching back to an exhibition held in the summer of 1945 by the Southwold and District Art Group.
Southwold Art Circle continues its strong programme of lectures, masterclasses, group meetings and exhibitions including the much loved ‘Art on the Railings’. https://southwoldartcircle.co.uk/
