The Wild Kessingland All-Stars play the Manor Farm Corncrakes
Our first face-to-face match of the season between the Wild Kessingland All-Stars and the Manor Farm Corncrakes – and it was fabulous.
The children were brilliant; they chatted with residents, played some magnificent football (with one or two questionable decisions by the referee) and brought so much joy to the residents that everyone wants a re-match as soon as possible.
The residents were impressed that the children weren’t shy and that they behaved so well – even when the residents beat them at football.
And the residents certainly gave the children a run for their money – some were clearly in it to win it.
Our thanks to all the school staff and those at Manor Farm who made us so welcome – we’ll see you after half term.
‘Seeing the children was lovely, I feel much better now than I did before; it really got to my heart.’
‘They [the children] brought a lot of joy.’
