Early Years Music CPD with Penny Osmond, Music at Heart

Penny Osmond is one of the music practitioners for Music at Heart, a therapeutic singing intervention for groups of new mothers experiencing mental health issues or low mood. In this session Penny introduces some of the techniques, concepts and repertoire her team use to work with the mothers, and hopes to form a welcoming group of participants on the day to discuss how we can create safe spaces for vulnerable new mums, how we can use music as an intervention for perinatal mental health, and why it feels so good to sing together.

Penny delivered a wonderful online session with Ayozie Pollendine last year, we look forward to welcoming Penny to the Seagull in February.

The Seagull Theatre’s access information page

    Updated access information

The Seagull is wheelchair accessible in studio 4 (the down stairs studio) the theatre, workhshop and backstage areas. All of this is flat level access, including through to the accessible loo.
The upper floor can be accessed via the lift which provides direct access to studio 2. Access to studio 1 and Studio 3 is also possible without further steps, but doorways are relatively narrow.
Sadly the access to the green room and the two upstairs toilets is still via further stairs so we recommend that people use the lift to access the downstairs accessible toilet instead.
