Magic Acorns Play Day, CPD hosted by Magic Acorns

Magic Acorns work with artists, educators, parents/carers and 0-5 year olds. We have learned about improvisation, music and play from the experts – the babies and young children.

The session will be a day of professional development. Magic Acorns will present practical activities that provide early years practitioners tools and skills to deliver engaging and thoughtful music sessions to those working with under 5’s.

There will be time for reflection and also a chance to ask questions. Magic Acorns are highly experienced creatives and academics who continuously evaluate how music is offered to very young children. On top of this expertise, they deliver really fun, uplifting and engaging workshops for early years facilitators. The group will be mixed – musicians, EY facilitators, school teachers, nursery teachers and creatives. The day encourages peer support and is always a fantastic relaxed sharing and learning environment.

    Updated access information

The Seagull is wheelchair accessible in studio 4 (the down stairs studio) the theatre, workhshop and backstage areas. All of this is flat level access, including through to the accessible loo.
The upper floor can be accessed via the lift which provides direct access to studio 2. Access to studio 1 and Studio 3 is also possible without further steps, but doorways are relatively narrow.
Sadly the access to the green room and the two upstairs toilets is still via further stairs so we recommend that people use the lift to access the downstairs accessible toilet instead.
